Voy A Ti was nominated for Best Tropical Latin Album at the 66th GRAMMY® Awards, Best Salsa Album at the 24th Latin GRAMMY® Awards and received three nominations for Premio Lo Nuestro (2024) including Tropical Album of the Year. His hit song, “Bandido” crowned the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart for two consecutive weeks, the only salsa song in 2023 to top the charts. “Bandido” also hit #1 in Puerto Rico for seven consecutive weeks and was nominated for a 2024 Latin Billboard award for Best Tropical Song. “Cómo Se Compara” topped Tropical Airplay, his third number one and reached #2 on Latin Airplay in 2025.

Coexistencia received two nominations for the 25th Latin GRAMMY® Awards and generated two chart hits, “Llorar Bonito” and “Medusa”. Luis was honored by the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame La Musa Awards with the Premio Triunfador 2024 for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of Latin Music. The New York International Salsa Congress honored him with their Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the genre and for inspiring a new generation of artists. In 2025, he received four nominations for Premio Lo Nuestro, the only artist to be nominated in all the tropical categories.

Luis was nominated for his first two Premio Lo Nuestro awards in 2022 for “Tropical Artist of the Year” and “Tropical Song of the Year”. His self-titled second studio album, Luis Figueroa, released in May 2022, is a collection of songs that represent the different phases of falling in love, complete with a tropical energy full of percussion and trombones while highlighting his dynamic vocals. The album spawned three #1 tropical hit singles including, “Todavía Te Espero”, “Vienes” and “Fiesta Contigo”, all written by Luis. The album received two Latin GRAMMY® and three Premio Lo Nuestro nominations and has amassed over 20 million streams worldwide. The album was selected by Billboard as one of “The 22 Best Latin Albums of 2022”. In the fall he toured with El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico and Marc Anthony bringing his live show to multiple cities across the United States and Latin America. His hit single, “Vienes” was certified GOLD® by the RIAA, a huge feat for a salsa song in the streaming era.

From an early age, Luis showcased his natural abilities on shows such as Star Search, Sábado Gigante and American Idol. This taste of success in the music industry led him to perfect his craft by studying at Berklee College of Music. After being discovered through several cover videos uploaded to his YouTube page, Luis signed with Magnus Media, music titan Marc Anthony’s entertainment company in mid 2016. His rendition of “Flor Pálida” won him a Premio Juventud for “Best Cover Video” and he performed the song alongside his mentor on the show. Combining both his musical and acting capabilities he had a featured role in the acclaimed music-themed Telemundo television series Guerra De Ídolos (2017). He was featured on the series theme song, “Tequila Pa’la Razón” performing it live at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

In 2018, he joined Sebastián Yatra and Larry Over for the urban-pop smash “Por Perro”, a song he co-wrote which has racked up over 700 million views on YouTube to date and reached #16 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Songs chart. The single was certified 7x-Platinum by the RIAA® and nominated for Video of the Year at the 2019 HTV Heat Awards. Luis showcased the single during Romeo Santos’s Golden Tour performing it to sold out stadiums across Latin America.

In February 2021, he surprised fans with an EP of original material recorded at home titled, 1807 and in May on Sony Music Latin he released his debut album, Canciones Del Alma, 10 romantic cover songs that shaped his career and childhood. The album debuted at #2 in sales in Puerto Rico and earned him his first #1 hit on Billboard Tropical Airplay, “Hasta El Sol de Hoy” and a second Billboard Top 10 chart hit with his version of “Si Tú Me Dices Ven”. A visual album of all the songs was released and aired on Telemundo Puerto Rico.

Desde muy temprana edad, Luis demostró su talento natural participando en programas como Star Search, Sábado Gigante y American Idol. En febrero de 2021 sorprendió a sus seguidores con el EP de temas originales 1807, grabado desde casa. Posteriormente, en mayo y bajo el sello Sony Music Latin, lanzó su álbum debut Canciones Del Alma, compuesto por diez versiones románticas de canciones que marcaron su infancia y su carrera artística. El álbum debutó en el puesto #2 en ventas en Puerto Rico y le otorgó su primer número uno en Billboard Tropical Airplay con "Hasta El Sol de Hoy", además de conseguir un segundo éxito dentro del Top 10 de Billboard con su versión de "Si Tú Me Dices Ven".
